Exciting news for electric car lovers in India! VinFast, the popular Vietnamese EV brand, has officially launched its VF6 and VF7 models in India. Both cars are fully zero-emission vehicles and come packed with modern features, a stylish design, and advanced technology.
VinFast VF6: Compact, Stylish, and Powerful
The VF6 starts at ₹16.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It measures 4,238 mm in length, 1,820 mm in width, and has a 2,730 mm wheelbase. The boot offers a spacious 423 litres, perfect for family trips or shopping hauls.
The VF6 stands out with a connected rear LED light bar, V-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights, and a coupe-like silhouette from the side. It is available in Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity trims.
Under the hood, it comes with a 59 kWh Li-ion battery. The Eco variant delivers 174 hp and 250 Nm torque, while the Plus variant offers 204 hp and 310 Nm torque. Its WLTP-certified range is 399 km (Eco) and 381 km (Plus). A DC fast charger can replenish the battery from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
VinFast VF7: Premium, Feature-Packed, and Tech-Forward
The VF7 is the more premium option, available in FWD and AWD variants. It comes with a 75.3 kWh battery in the standard variant, producing 201 hp and 309 Nm torque with a WLTP range of 451 km.
The Plus variant pushes 348 hp and 499 Nm torque, reducing the range slightly to 431 km, but adding extra performance for driving enthusiasts.
Inside, the VF7 is loaded with features: a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google apps, voice commands, smartphone pairing, ventilated front seats, panoramic glass roof, dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, and 7 airbags. It also comes with Level 2 ADAS safety tech, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and more.

Both cars are initially being imported via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route. More vehicles will follow as VinFast ramps up local production in Tamil Nadu. Bookings are already open on the official VinFast website.
