Citroën Aircross X Teased for the First Time, Launch Expected Soon
If you are an SUV enthusiast eagerly waiting for a feature-packed new car, here’s some exciting news! Citroën India has finally released the first teaser of the Aircross X, hinting that the SUV is inching closer to its launch. Bookings are already open with an initial token amount of just ₹11,000.
The Aircross X will come with updated features, similar to what we saw in the recently launched C3 X and Basalt X in India. The teaser gives us a glimpse of cruise control and new seat upholstery, while other expected features include ventilated seats for driver and front passenger, wireless smartphone charging, push-button engine start, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless phone mirroring, and possibly a 360-degree camera on higher trims for an additional Rs. 25,000.
On top-spec models, Citroën might also integrate its Cara smart AI assistant, as most features will mirror the updates found in C3 X and Basalt X. On the safety front, Citroën already offers six airbags, ABS with EBD, and ESP as standard across the Aircross family, so no major changes are expected there.
Under the hood, no big mechanical updates are anticipated. The Aircross X will continue with the familiar 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.2-litre turbo petrol engines. The turbo variant produces 110 bhp of power and 190 Nm of torque with a six-speed manual transmission, while the automatic bumps torque up to 205 Nm. The X badge will likely be reserved for the top-spec trims.
Citroën is currently in the middle of its biggest product and retail expansion in India. The brand aims to more than double its dealership network by the end of this financial year. Adding to the excitement, Citroën is also preparing CNG-compatible versions of both C3 and Aircross to appeal to a wider range of customers.
